Can someone help this new-to-Amigas-and-frustrated user solve his problem? Would someone also please post the various Commodore numbers and other sources of tech support? I'd like to see his problem solved and for him to have a positive first experience with the Amiga. .Date: 04-25-91 (18:37) Number: 562 of 565 .From: GEORGE HARTNELL Read: 04-28-91 (10:49) .Subj: AMIGA 3000 + GENLOCK Status: PUBLIC MESSAGE . .Welllll, as amiga has no published tech support number AND as the .good folks who sold us the thing were sort of 'ok' when .installing, it HAS been less than thrilling trying to get the .blasted thing to work. . .Let me reinterate: .Got the Amiga 3000 with a Commodore Genlock card and 1950 monitor. .System works fine without genlock installed on 31Kh port to .monitor. Have worked Display set fine tuning using .'enable/disable' switch and Amiga supplied tweaker to set display .ok. Genlock use causes severe jitters on screen usless using .Test1 in Screen Settings drawer. Test1 is rock steady. Test2 and .regualar desktop has very unacceptable jitter which i attribute to .lack of sync. Sparse documentation seems to support this. . .I'm NOT really an Amiga user, as I have somewhere around 300+ .IBMs, Macs, HPs, Xeroxes, etc ad nausem to keep running, so it .would REALLY be nice if I could get a bit of help out there, .somewhere. It gets a little old learning yet another operating .system/hardware system after a while..... . .Best regards, G. Thanks. I will relay any/all replies to Mr. Hartnell.
