Hello all! I am having some trouble, actually a lot, getting the colormaps set properly on a canvas. I am designing an image editor which displays the image in a canvas. I want to change the colormap of the canvas to grayscale. There are several groups here that are wanting to do the same thing but none of use can figure out how to properly set the colormaps to either a canvas or to a base window. Any help would be would be greatly appreciated. Respond either to this newsgroup or to adh@uafsun4.uark.edu. We have access to O'Reilly's Xlib Programming Manual, XView Programming Manual, and the Xlib Referance Manual so text references would be fine if they come from these books. Thanks.
