[comp.windows.open-look] Bug in XReadBitmapFile, XCopyPlane

chuck@trantor.harris-atd.com (Chuck Musciano) (12/01/90)

Category: OpenWindows
Subcategory: library
Bug/Rfe: bug
Synopsis: XReadBitmapFile and XCopyPlane fail on color systems
Severity: 1
Priority: asap
Description: When XReadBitmapFile is called to load a bitmap into a
pixmap, the resulting pixmap has depth 0 if the server is
a color machine. On mono systems, the pixmap has the
correct depth of 1. This may actually be a bug in
XCopyPlane, which I presume is being called by
XReadBitmapFile to create the final pixmap.
Work around: None. This is a real problem!
