Is it possible to build the olwm distributed with X11R4 without
having OpenLook? (I've been debating whether or not to get it, now
that I've finally got X11 all built & running.) Its actual build
failed because I didn't have the header files it needed -- I *do*,
however, have libolgx.a, because it was included in the Lisp 4.0
update that I received. Any ideas? Are the /usr/include/olgx headers
all under the umbrella of the Sun license?

Are the /usr/include/olgx headers |> all under the umbrella of the Sun license? By "OpenLook" I'm assuming you mean "OpenWindows". The answer is no, you don't have to get OpenWindows to build olwm. All the pieces you need to build olwm are available via anonymous ftp from MIT in the XView distribution. Look on expo.lcs.mit.edu for /contrib/xview2*. Note that you don't actually need to build XView in order to build olwm. olwm requires only that you have the olgx library and header files. If you already have libolgx.a, the header files are probably sufficient. s'marks -- Stuart W. Marks ARPA: smarks@eng.sun.com Windows & Graphics Software UUCP: sun!smarks Sun Microsystems, Inc.
