I requested information yesterday about attaching data structures to
xv objects so that the repaint routines could be data independent.
I managed to get the job done myself and ended up with a neat little
package for creating and handling canvases that are to display images.
With any luck I will never have to deal directly with it again. So
far its done everything I want. If anyone wants a copy of it email
a request and I'll send it to you. Associated with the package is a
set of macros, typedefs, and functions that allow one to create
static and dynamic 2d arrays that provide some nice capabilities for
scientific programming.
