I'd like to set up an Open Look workspace where mailtool, cmdtool, textedit and all those other familiar SunView like tools have a bigger font for the body text. I've tried putting font.name: lucidasanstypewriter-14 in the .Xdefaults file, but that makes the fonts on the menu buttons big and ugly as well. I don't want the control areas of the application to have the big font, just the text. A similar thing happens when I try to start one of them up with the -fn option on the command line in order to specify the font. I'm using the version of olwm that comes with OpenWindows 2.0 together with the X11R4 server from mit. The xview clients are also from the OpenWindows 2.0 release. The other problem I had was trying to set up the calendar manager correctly. I become root and run install_cmgr, and it says everything is hip, but when cm starts up, I get a slew of rpc error messages, and eventually the rpc times out.
