[comp.windows.open-look] How do I catch the exit of olwm in Xview applications?

bergquis@nms.gdc.portal.com (Brett Bergquist) (02/03/91)

My problem is this:

I have Xview applications that need to know that they are being terminated
so that they can cleanup things (rpc connections, etc.). I know how to
monitor and interpose on the frame's destruction, and I know about
notify_set_destroy_func() to catch SIGTERM, but how do I catch whatever
is happening when "EXIT" is chosen from the OpenWindows menu.

Some of my applications may need a lot of time to cleanup relatively
speaking (20 seconds maybe).

Is there away to do this?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
