I neglected to mention that I am using mwm (1.1) as my window manager. A couple people replied indicating that it is not a problem when running olwm. Perhaps there is some bug in mwm or cm related to ICCCMedness. and then fwp1@CC.MsState.Edu (Frank Peters) wrote: I don't know whether it is a bug or not but this problem also occurs with twm, uwm and gwm. These are the three window managers I've played with. I think it very possible that the problem is with any window manager besides olwm. The problem you folks are seeing is caused by a bug in XView, not in calendar manager or in a window manager. The problem is that when you give the -Wi option to an XView program (which tells it to start up iconic) this applies to *all* windows that the application opens, even those that are mapped after you've deiconified the application. Some of olwm's window state policy covers up this bug, which is why you don't see it under olwm. XView should probably be fixed so that -Wi applies only to the first window, not all the subsequent windows. s'marks Stuart W.
