[comp.windows.open-look] Intrinsics vs. XView

I'm wondering  what I  lose by  using an  instrinsics  based kit  over
XView.    Seems  that  I lose  the  itimer and  wait3  handling by the
Notifier, but that's about all.  Anyone care to comment?

This is more of a question than an answer...

I just started playing with the OLIT Widgets.  My code produces
widgets that have a 2-d look to them that are generally "bigger" than
XView widgets/gadgets.   What (if anything) am I doing wrong?  I thought OLIT
Widgets were supposed to look just like their XView counterparts.
