I have designed my own root background and root cursor. I am using SunOS4.1. Here are the two questions: 1) Setting OpenWindows.WorkspaceColor to null allows for xsetroot to set the root pattern and colors. The problem is that when an item is made into an icon, there is a gray border around the object. This is the border that turns black when you select the icon by clicking in it (left button). What needs to be set that will make this border around the icon the same as the background color? 2) I also want to set the cursor at the same time, but I can't find the means to tell olwm not to use its default cursor, so that I can use xsetroot to use my cursor. When done right after olwm, because olwm is slow enough, the xsetroot setting is wiped out. I have to do a sleep 15 to make sure that olwm has set first. Don't tell me to move the position of xsetroot to later. This whole process will be a system wide thing and I want to keep the two things together at the beginning of the whole startup process. The idea is to have the root window come up before anything else. Any pointers will be appreciated. -- harvard\ ucbvax!uwvax!astroatc!ftms!brown rutgers/ INTERNET: spool.cs.wisc.edu!astroatc!ftms!brown
