I have a problem when running openwin2.0 on a sparcstation when the node where the openwin2.0/bin source is located is taken down. I have that node's openwin mounted on my openwin directory, and am running standalone (other than the mount). Once the other machine is taken down, my machine bombs all the way out of openwin with errors like: fatal IO error 32 (Broken pipe) on X server ":0.0" /usr/local/src/openwin2.0/bin/xinit: connection to X server lost What is really strange about this is that my machine is the only one in our net that bombs. All the rest hang until the server machine is brought back up. Any ideas? Obviously I can move the openwin/bin directory to my local disk (if there is any room left), but why does it only happen to me? Thanks. -------- p.s. doesn't anyone have a solution to the lack of having ctrl-h == backspace in text windows? Keyboard.DeleteChar ^H => doesn't work. -- Scott Moody "The Boeing Mountain Network" scott@shuksan.boeing.com uunet!bcstec!shuksan!scott
