Only problem is that the machine I am trying to display it on is running OpenWindows (v2) and acm has problems with the fonts. The exact message I get is ... [brolga /home/ant 35] acm brolga acm: display goanna:0.0 doesn't know font *courier-bold-r-normal--17* Any ideas on how I can get around this ? Also, am I going to have lots of problems like this with fonts etc if I move completely to OpenWindows (currently only goanna is running OW on a trial basis) ? If I have the X11 fonts as well can I use them ? ant -- V ant "It's great to be young and insane" \o/ ant@brolga.cc.uq.oz.au - Dream Team -O- Anthony Murdoch Prentice Centre /0\ Phone (07) 36 54078 University of Qld

Try looking fonts from directory /usr/lib/X11/fonts/iso_8859.1/100dpi and check file fonts.dir. matti -- ######################################################################### ## Matti Ropponen ## I have tried woodoo witches, ## ## University of Jyvaskyla ## I have tried tons of heroin, ## ## Internet mr@tukki.jyu.fi ## I have tried jogging, but ## ## (128.214.7.5) ## I still think that you use my head. ## #########################################################################

The solution given to me, by about 6 or so people now :-) was to change the font to size 17 or something else I had. I tried it last night and it seems to work. Now all I have to do is to find someone to fight. ant -- V ant "It's great to be young and insane" \o/ ant@brolga.cc.uq.oz.au - Dream Team -O- Anthony Murdoch Prentice Centre /0\ Phone (07) 36 54078 University of Qld

If I have the >X11 fonts as well can I use them ? The documentation is no help but after some tampering around in the code I found out that the only file that need changes was all the Makefiles! Write -DSunOSPlatform somewhere so it becomes a parameter to cc everytime a file is compiled and remove the "-systype bsd43". I had the same problem and this worked. We are also running OpenWindows (v2). Dave PS Thanx to all those who responded to my request for the acm source especially Julian at Lancs from whom I obtained the source.
