With the help from Sun and another netter, the pageview problem that I was having has been solved. Pageview was not broken, groff was. The PostScript that groff produced had a line containing a single %! (around line 11). That caused pageview to believe that there was another PostScript file included and to ignore all comments until the %%Trailer. Well, in this case, there wasn't another PostScript file included so all of the pages got displayed at once. There are two fixes. One is to hand edit the file and remove that line, then it displays just fine. The second is to recompile groff stuff with the -DBROKEN_SPOOLER option turned on. That changes the format of the PostScript file whereby the extra %! is missing.
