[comp.windows.open-look] Is xvstuff mail server down?

cah@ecelet.ncsu.edu (Craig Hamilton) (05/23/91)

A few months ago, I was using the "xvstuff" mail server to get
bug reports/fixes for XView. I think the address was:
    xvstuff@kimba.sun.eng.com
or something like that. I no longer get a response.
Has this service been discontinued or is it available elsewhere?

Any info much appreciated.

On 22 April, someone at Sun's Catalyst program told me:

" xvstuff@kimba.sun.com probably isn't running anymore
" because the person who maintained it transferred to
" another position here at Sun and I don't think anybody
" ever took on the responsibility to maintain the server.
"
" I spoke with the NeWSprint folks last week and they
" mentioned that np-archive@sun.com has been down for
" a while. They are short on people to support it
" right now but hope to have it back up soon.
