[comp.windows.open-look] Problem with OLVWM

jssk@cbnewsl.att.com (jeffrey.s.skelton) (05/23/91)

I have been running olvwm for a couple weeks and notice many defunct processes.
They seem to come from any application I quit. I'm using PATCHLEVEL 0.
Is this a known problem and is there a fix?

My teeny little complaint about olvwm has to do with 'inheritance' of
stickiness. When an application creates new base windows after the sticky
bit has been set, the new windows are *not* sticky, and I think they should
be.

The particular case that effects me is mailtool. This mail interface puts
up a new base window for displaying the mail, and another for each item of
mail I am composing. If I make mailtool sticky before displaying any mail,
the display window is NOT sticky, and the compose windows are NEVER sticky.

Could this be 'fixed'?
