I am having a number of problems with copying text between the xterm in /usr/openwin/demos (OpenWindows 2.0 / SPARCstation 1+ / SunOS 4.1.1) and the OW20 shelltool, etc. I have the following xterm translation in my environment: Any<Key>L6: start-extend() select-end(PRIMARY, CLIPBOARD, CUT_BUFFER0) \n \ Any<Key>L8: insert-selection(CLIPBOARD) 1. When I single click on a character in xterm, I do not get anything highlited or available to paste/copy. 2. When I double click on a word, if my mouse cursor does not stay in the word by the time I reach the copy key, xterm highlights down to where the mouse is located. 3. If I do not use the copy key, then my shelltool does not recognize the 'stuff' operation - i.e. if I just try to paste, with a selected text in my xterm window, I either get trash or the last thing copied. My dream would be for a user to never care whether they were in a XView or Xt based text window - and the OpenLook guidelines for selection and copying text would be supported in all of those windows.
