I have a SPARC 2GX where I'm running the xnews server on both devices, i.e., /dev/cgsix0 and /dev/fb. The only difference is that I use different window managers on each: olvwm on cgsix0 and olwm on fb. My problem is that because I use different backgrounds (using xsetroot or xloadimage) I have to invoke a REFRESH each time I switch screens. Presumably this is because the colormaps for each "screen" are different. While I don't care if they are, I would either like to fix the refresh problem or at least automate it, without abandoning using different wmgrs on either desktop. Please email replies.
