[comp.windows.open-look] XView's PANEL_SLIDER layout

fgreco@fis3.govt.shearson.com (Frank Greco) (06/20/91)

I have been trying to get the label of a PANEL_SLIDER to come
out on top of the slider. When I use PANEL_LAYOUT, PANEL_VERTICAL,
I get garbage on the screen. All other attempts to set XV_X, XV_Y
or PANEL_LABEL_X, PANEL_LABEL_Y also fails visually.

Does anyone know if this is a known XView bug and are there
any workarounds? Or, am I blatantly missing something?

Thanks all,

Frank G.

Creating the slider (without fiddling with the locations) and
then resetting PANEL_LABEL_X/Y and PANEL_VALUE_X/Y afterwards
via xv_set() seems to work.

Hope this helps
