I must refute the claim that g++ is too buggy to use. When I was at school last year, I encountered more bugs in the AT&T C++ 2.0 than g++. The availability of source code for g++ has let me put C++ on a platform whose vendor may never supply C++. For me, g++ has been exceptionally useful. Arch D.
