               PHILOSOPHY and the COGNITIVE SCIENCES

An open one-day conference under the British Society for the
Philosophy of Science, on Saturday May 18th 1991, at the University of
Birmingham.
    Registration (5 pounds) and coffee: 10.00 - 11.00am in the
        SCR, 1st floor, Faculty of Arts Main Building.

    Talks: 11.00am - 5.00pm, Lecture Theatre 3, 1st floor, Faculty
        of Arts Main Building.

============================== Travel =================================

RAIL. Travel to Birmingham New Street station. Then take the Cross
City Line to the University Station.(This is the local service,
leaving at 6, 21, 36 and 51 minutes past each hour, and taking about 5
minutes.) Alighting here, you are on the west side of the University
campus. Walk along University Road West, aiming for the main clock
tower, walk under Staff House and diagonally across the lawn to the
Faculty of Arts Main Building.

ROAD. Approaching from the NW or SE along the M6, leave at Junction 6
(signposted Birmingham Central) to join the A38(M). At the end of the
motorway, keep to the right, go over the flyover, through 3
underpasses, to join the A38 Bristol Road. The University is on your
right 2.5 miles from the city centre.
    Approaching from the SW, leave the M5 at junction 4
(signposted Birmingham SW) to join the A38 Bristol Road. The
University is on the left of the A38 about 8 miles from the motorway.
