       _R_o_t_u_m_a__F_i_j_i_.

       3D2XN and 3D2XR have been active especially on 10 and 15
       meters from Rotuma Island.  Although Rotuma is part of Fiji,
       the operators hope to qualify as a new DXCC country.  Work
       them first, the decision will be made at a later date.

       _S_o_m_a_l_i_a_.

       DJ6SI/T5 has gone QRT after a very successful one week
       operation from Mogadishu.  QSL via his home call.

       _1_6_0__M_e_t_e_r_s_.

       Operation on the 160 meter band was at an all time high in
       the contest last weekend.  More than sixty countries were
       reported active and some stations in North America worked
       more than fifty.

       _M_a_l_a_w_i_.

       7Q7LW is still active almost daily Les frequents 28500 to
       28510 kHz from 1900Z.

       _C_y_p_r_u_s_/_A_s_i_a_.

       Four operators are signing DL0/HSC/5B4 from Cyprus.  This
       operation is from the Asiatic part of Zone 20.  CW only is
       being used, on 160 through 10 meters.  QSL via DF8ZH.

       _C_o_m_o_r_o_s_.

       D68AM is again active after a long absence.  Alain likes 29
       and 21 MHz ssb.

       _F_r_e_n_c_h__A_n_t_a_r_c_t_i_c_a_.

       All the FB8 countries in the Southern Indian Ocean will be
       manned by new crews starting in mid-November.  Each crew
       will include at least one licensed radio operator.  Call
       signs will probably be FB8WH/WI, FB8ZP, and FB8XZ.  Look for
       activity around the end of November.

       _S_t_.__H_e_l_e_n_a_.

       Jerry, ZD7BW, has been reported on 28600 kHz from 2000 to
       2100Z and later on 21295 kHz.

       _J_u_a_n__F_e_r_n_a_n_d_e_z_.

       WB6WOD/CE0/Z continues his operation from Juan Fernandez into
       its second week.  Joe is operating ssb only, 80 through 10
       meters.  QSL to his home call in the U.S.A.

       _M_a_u_r_i_t_a_n_i_a_.

       5T5TO is active on all bands on cw.  Look for Marc on 3506
       kHz at 0600Z.  QSL via F6BUM.

       _E_a_s_t_e_r_n__K_i_r_i_b_a_t_i_.

       T32AB can be found on 10.108 MHz at 0330Z.  QSL via N7YL.

       _C_r_o_z_e_t__I_s_l_a_n_d_.

       FB8WG has been on 10.101 MHz at 1700Z.  George will be
       leaving for France shortly.

       _S_o_u_t_h__O_r_k_n_e_y_.

       VP8AOE and VP8AOC have been around 14215 at 0100Z.  QSL via
       K0/JW.

       _T_r_i_s_t_a_n__d_a__C_u_n_h_a__I_s_l_a_n_d_.

       ZD9BV and ZD9YL will be on cw at 1100Z on november 14 at
       28745 kHz.  Also look for ZD9BX on 28745 kHz on Tuesdays and
       Thursdays at about 1200Z.

       _T_u_n_i_s_i_a_.

       3V8AA has been on 28745 kHz at 1300Z operating cw.  QSL via
       IS0/LYN.

       _T_a_i_w_a_n_.

       BV2B will begin operation on 40 and 80 meters after December
       First.  This will be the first time operation has been
       experienced on these bands.

       _H_e_a_r_d__I_s_l_a_n_d_.

       Both groups planning January operations from Heard Island
       report that everything is going well and permission for
       licenses and landing have been received from appropriate
       authority.

       _W_a_l_l_i_s__I_s_l_a_n_d_.

       DK6XR expects to leave Wallis Island, where he has been
       operating as FW0/XR, on Saturday to return to Germany.

       _G_l_o_r_i_o_s_o_.

       FR7AI/G has been very active recently on 15 and 20 meters.

       _C_h_i_n_a_.

       BY8AA is reported active around 14040 kHz between 0900 and
       1000Z.

       _M_a_l_i_.

       F6FIZ/TZ has a new schedule, Tuesdays at 2300Z on 14285 kHz.
       KC7WZ and KE4OC have been helping with this operation.  QSL
       to F6CRS.

       _F_a_m_i_l_y__H_o_u_r__o_n__1_5_.

       VS6CX and 9M2FR have been active the last few weeks around
       0330Z on 21345 kHz.  They have been heard long path on the
       East Coast.  VS5HG is on with W7PHO at 0100Z.  QSL to
       Hassan, Box 980, BSB, Brunei.

       _8_0__M_e_t_e_r_s_.

       5Z4CS is on 3504 kHz at 2145Z.  QSL to GI1VLV.

       _1_0__M_H_z_.

       VP8ANT, Antarctica, is on 10102 kHz at 0025Z.  Amateurs are
       reminded not to operate in the restricted 10109 to 10115 kHz
       portion of the 10 MHz band.  FCC has been issuing citations
       to offenders.  Amateurs are also reminded that 10 MHz
       contacts may not be credited toward ARRL awards.


       _I_n_d_o_n_e_s_i_a_.

       YB0/ADJ is on 80 or 40 meter cw at 1100Z.

       _Q_a_t_a_r_.

       A71AD has been on 3799 kHz recently, at 0100Z.

       _N_e_w__H_e_b_r_i_d_e_s_.

       YJ8NMB is active every day on the low end of 10 meter ssb,
       near 28502 kHz at 2300Z.  QSL to Mike via WA2MNM.

       _L_l_o_y_d__a_n_d__I_r_i_s_.

       Approximately 7000 QSOs were made from J20/DU between October
       17 and November 8, half cw and half ssb.  Operation from Abu
       Ail is expected to start about December 2 for a 48 hour
       period.  Operation will be on all bands, near the low ends,
       both ssb and cw.  All QSLs should go directly to the Yasme
       Foundation, not via any bureau.

       _N_i_g_e_r_i_a_.

       The Nigerian Amateur Radio Society will operate 5N0/SIF from
       the Lagos Specialized International Trade Fair from November
       20 through 29.

       _S_o_u_t_h__O_r_k_n_e_y__I_s_l_a_n_d_.

       VP8AH is on 14228 kHz at 0330Z.  QSL via K2JW.

       _J_e_r_s_e_y__I_s_l_a_n_d_.

       GJ3MWR is active on 75 meter ssb.  Look for him on 3798 kHz
       at 0200Z.

       _H_e_a_r_d__a_n_d__W_o_r_k_e_d_.

       OE2TWM/YK on 14225 kHz at 0100Z.  DF3NZ/ST2 on 28520 kHz at
       1200Z.  H44SH on 28560 kHz at 2220Z, QSL via AD1S.  TL8GE on
       14204 kHz at 0345Z.

       _Q_a_t_a_r_.  Look for Lloyd and Iris from W6KG/A7.  QSL via
       Yasme.

       _S_o_u_t_h__S_h_e_t_l_a_n_d_s_.  LU3ZI is now active.  QSL via LU2A.
       Another operation is planned for February 6 through 9 as
       LU1ZC.  QSL to LU2CN.

       _S_o_u_t_h__O_r_k_n_e_y_s_.  VP8AOB can be found around 14240 kHz at
       0300Z.  LU5ZA should be active until February 16.  QSL to
       LU2A.

       _C_h_i_n_a_.  A third Chinese and second Beijing station, BY1QH,
       is expected soon.  BY8AA has been very active recently from
       0100 to 0300Z around 14048 to 14050 kHz.

       _T_r_i_n_i_d_a_d_e_.  PY0/TA is expected to be on again in February,
       hopefully for a longer period of time this trip.

       _H_o_n_g__K_o_n_g_.  VS6DO may be on Saturday night at 0100Z on 14220
       kHz.  VP8XAB has been very active on both phone and cw.
       Watch 14015 kHz at 0230Z for cw and 14220 kHz at 0100Z for
       ssb.

       _H_e_a_r_d__I_s_l_a_n_d_.  The VK0/HI gang left Kerguelen at 0100Z this
       morning and hope to land in three days.  They hope to be set
       up and ready for action by the 24th.  The VK9NS group has
       left Albany and hopes to arrive in 14 to 16 days.

       _C_h_a_d_.  WB4ZNH, Carl, and WN4FVU, Martha, hope to be on from
       TT8 tonight if their license arrives in time.  Otherwise,
       they expect to be active on Monday.

       _H_e_a_r_d__I_s_l_a_n_d_.  VK0CW has made over 17,000 contacts.  Both
       VK0CW and VK0HI are extremely active on all bands from 80
       through 10 meters.  Watch 7003 or 7017 kHz at 1800 and
       2330Z.  QSL to N2DT.  Also, VK0NS should be active by the
       time you read this.  This group left Kerguelen Island on
       Tuesday.

       _A_m_s_t_e_r_d_a_m__I_s_l_a_n_d_.  FB8ZQ if often around 14025 kHz at 2200Z.
       Alain is also active on 40 and 80 meters.  QSL via F6AJN.

       _K_e_r_g_u_e_l_e_n__I_s_l_a_n_d_.  FB8XAB can be found on 21-16 kHz at 1500Z
       and on 14005 kHz around 0100Z.  QSL to F6GXB.

       _C_h_a_d_.  TT8BC said during the recent operation that more
       activity should be heard from this country in the future.
       QSLs for TT8BC go to K4PHE and for TT8AC to N4NX.

       _S_o_u_t_h__S_h_e_t_l_a_n_d_s_.  LU3ZI has been very active on 160 through
       10 meter cw.  Watch 1829 kHz at 0300 and 0600Z.  Operation
       will continue until February 16.

       _S_o_u_t_h__O_r_k_n_e_y_s_.  LU5ZA is active on 80 through 10 meters ssb
       with three or more operators.  Look on 7085 kHz at 0600Z and
       3740 kHz at 0800Z.  CW operation will begin as soon as the
       keyer is fixed.  QSL to LU2A.

       _I_n_d_i_a_.  VU2BK can be found on 7002 kHz at 2300Z and 3502 kHz
       from 0000Z.

       _P_o_r_t_u_g_a_l_.  CT stations are optionally using the prefix CQ
       through the end of March.

       _L_i_b_y_a_.  5A1BQ is apparently a pirate operation.  None of the
       various QSL managers specified know anything about the
       operation.

       _N_i_g_e_r_i_a_.  KC7UU/5N6 is very active on 14024 kHz at 0000Z,
       21012 kHz at 1300Z, and 7005 kHz at 0200Z.


       _Q_a_t_a_r_.  A71AD may be found nightly on 3795 kHz.  W6KG/A7 can
       be found on 21022 kHz around 1500Z and on 28501 kHz at
       1330Z.  Iris and Lloyd will next stop at A9 later this
       month.  They will not be visiting A6.

       _U_n_i_t_e_d__A_r_a_b__E_m_i_r_a_t_e_s_.  DJ8WL left Wednesday for a two month
       stay in A6.  Peter will try for an authorized operation.

       _H_e_a_r_d__I_s_l_a_n_d_.  The VK00JS and VK00NL expedition is now active,
       as well as the VK00CW and VK00HI group.  VK00CW and VK00HI have
       now made over 23,000 contacts and have been particularly
       active on 20 meters.  VK00JS and VK00NL are also very active
       on 20 and have made many contacts on 40 meters.  Check 7004
       kHz at 2200Z.

       _N_e_p_a_l_.  An operation by a group of JA amateurs signing 9N1WW
       is expected to begin February 15 and continue for 12 days,
       followed by three days at S21, Bangladesh.  QSLs go to
       JA8BMK.

       _S_o_u_t_h__O_r_k_n_e_y_s_.  LU5ZA continues very active on all bands.

       _S_o_u_t_h__S_h_e_t_l_a_n_d_.  LU3ZI is reported to have left the island.

       _G_u_i_n_e_a__B_i_s_s_a_u_.  J5HTL has been showing up with the W7PHO
       Family Hour on 21345 kHz around 0020Z.  QSL via SM3CXS.

       _B_u_r_u_n_d_i_.  There was activity from 9U5JM this past weekend on
       21285 kHz at 2015Z.  QSL to John via F3LQ.

       _F_B_8_.  A net activity from 0100 to 0200Z on 14285 kHz
       includes most of the active FB8 stations, such as FB8WI,
       FB8WH, FB8XAB, and FB8ZQ.

       _T_r_i_n_d_a_d_e_.  There is a rumor of an operation beginning on the
       17th by PY00TA.

       _1_6_0__M_e_t_e_r_s_.  Good catches include XT2AW on 1829 kHz at
       0600Z, LU5ZA on 1818 kHz at 0600Z, and ZS5LB on 1826 kHz at
       0300Z.

       _B_e_a_c_o_n_s_.  The Northern California DX Foundation worldwide
       beacon net has added 4X6TU/B and ZS6DN/B to its roster.  For

       _H_e_a_r_d__a_n_d__W_o_r_k_e_d_.  3A2EE 3796 kHz at 0530Z.  DU9RG 3795 kHz
       at 1230Z.  AP2KS 3799 kHz at 2210Z.  VS5HG 21345 kHz at
       0020Z.  9X5MB 21290 kHz at 2045Z.  VK6LK and VK6HD 3795 kHz

       _C_o_c_o_s__K_e_e_l_i_n_g_.  VK9YB has been showing up on 14225 kHz at
       1200Z.

       _G_u_a_m_.  Look for AH2AI on 3.8 MHz at 1200Z.

       _G_u_i_n_e_a_.  LA2EX/3X1 is still checking in with the Family Hour
       on 21345 kHz at 2330Z.

       _E_a_s_t_e_r__I_s_l_a_n_d_.  Hector, CE00ERY, can be found on 14208 kHz at
       0300Z.  QSLs go via WB6WOD.

       _E_a_s_t__M_a_l_a_y_s_i_a_.  San, K5YY, has left Brunei and his next stop
       is expected to be at 9M6.  Look for him on 3795 kHz at 1100
       and 1200Z and on 40 meters at 1130Z.

       _A_s_c_e_n_s_i_o_n_.  ZD8DX operates on 14205 kHz at 2300Z.  QSLs go
       to W4MJZ.

       _V_P_5_/_V_P_2_.  VP5KMX is still active.  QSL to W8UVZ.  VP5KMD is
       particularly active on 7005 kHz at 0030Z.  Also look for him
       on 3505 kHz at 0100Z.  QSL via N00DH.  K7NHV/VP2V is active
       on all bands, cw only.  VP2KBD and VP2KBE will be on until
       March 15.  QSL to K1IJV.

       _S_p_r_a_t_l_y__I_s_l_a_n_d_s_.  Four German amateurs are departing for the
       Spratly Island group on March 31.  They expect to arrive at
       their destination on April 7 or 8 and operate through April
       12.  The calls used will be 1S6SI, 1S6NG, 1S6KF, and 1S4EI.
       QSL routes will be announced later.

       _V_S_5_/_V_S_6_/_9_M_6_.  VS5HG, VE7ZG/VS6, and 9M6YY will be on
       Saturday, Sunday, and Monday at approximately 1100Z on 3795
       kHz ssb.  80 meter cw and 40 meter operation is also
       planned.

       _S_t_.__H_e_l_e_n_a_.  ZD7WT operates on 7002 kHz at 0100Z.  QSL via
       ZD8TM.

       _R_o_d_r_i_g_u_e_s_.  Alex, 3B8DA/3B9, plans to continue on Rodrigues
       Island until May.

       _D_X_C_C_.  QSLs for SM00AGD/KH1 and T31AE are now being received
       from QSL manager SM3CXS and are being accepted for DXCC
       credit.

       _M_a_u_r_i_t_a_n_i_a_.  5T5TO has been worked on 21030 kHz at 2150Z and
       on 28025 kHz at 1900Z.  He is also active on 80, 40, and 20
       meters.  F6BUM handles the QSLs.

       _H_e_a_r_d__a_n_d__W_o_r_k_e_d_.  AP2JL 21275 kHz at 1200Z.  J6LCV 3795 kHz
       at 0100Z, QSL to KA6DFI.  EA9JV 3790 kHz at 0120Z.
       DF3NV/ST2 14273 kHz at 2250Z.  VE7CZU/4U 14225 kHz at 2300Z.

       _S_p_r_a_t_l_y__I_s_l_a_n_d_s_.  DJ6SI and DF3NG left Singapore on the
       third and expect to be active as 1S1SI and 1S3NG on the
       eighth.

       _C_h_a_t_h_a_m__I_s_l_a_n_d_.  Ron, ZL1AMO/c, expects to be active through
       the tenth.  He operates mostly cw but does get on ssb
       occasionally.  Look for Ron at 2300Z on 28025 or 28505 kHz,
       at 0000Z on 21025 or 21295 kHz, at 0330Z on 14025 kHz and at
       0500Z on 7005 kHz.  He listens on 3505 kHz at 0600, 1000,
       1100 and 1200Z but reports very little activity there.

       _C_o_n_g_r_a_t_u_l_a_t_i_o_n_s_.  Congratulations to DX Bulletin contributor
       Jim Dionne, K1MEM, and Genevieve, N1CPC, on their wedding
       this weekend.  Their Caribbean trip may include some hamming
       from VP2EEM and K1MEM/PJ7.

       _C_a_m_e_r_o_o_n_.  TJ1GH has been active on 21292 kHz at 2000Z on a
       list by W3WGS.  QSL to Henning via DJ5RT.

       _T_a_i_w_a_n_.  BV2A has been quite active, showing up on the
       Family Hour on 21345 kHz at 2330Z.

       _N_i_g_e_r_i_a_.  KC7UU/5N6 is very active and expects to be on sstv
       and rtty in the next few months.  He is also working toward
       possible summer trips to 5U and TT8.

       _T_a_n_z_a_n_i_a_.  Tom, 5H3TL, can be found on 14260 kHz at 0345Z
       and on 21292 kHz at 1800Z.  QSLs go to K8ZH.

       _I_T_U_.  A Vienna station signing 4U1VIC has been worked on
       21310 kHz at 1415Z.  QSLs go via the OE3 bureau.

       _R_o_d_r_i_g_u_e_s__I_s_l_a_n_d_.  K1BJ/3B9 has been worked on 21035 kHz at
       1200Z.  QSL to his home QTH.

       _M_a_r_i_a_n_a_s_.  K00TT/KH0 is active on 14030 kHz at 1345Z.  QSL to
       his home call.

       _M_a_l_i_.  F6FIC/TZ was worked last weekend on 21335 kHz at
       1700Z.

       _M_a_l_a_w_i_.  7Q7LW was also worked last weekend on the Africaner
       Net on 21355 kHz at 1800Z.

       _H_e_a_r_d__a_n_d__W_o_r_k_e_d_.  9V1TL 21026 kHz at 1430Z.  OY7ML 14026
       kHz at 1800Z.  FP8HL 14028 kHz at 1400Z.  ZK1CG 21345 kHz at
       1330Z.  7P8CI 21340 kHz at 1800Z.

       _S_p_r_a_t_l_y_.  As of 1615Z April 14, there has been no official
       information on the status of the DJ6SI group.

       _M_a_u_r_i_t_a_n_i_a_.  Look for 5T5RY around 14200 kHz at 1030Z.  QSLs
       go via F6FNU.

       _T_r_i_n_d_a_d_e_.  PY1EFM/PY0T may be found on 21335 kHz at 1900Z
       and on 21280 kHz at 2100Z.

       _M_a_l_p_e_l_o__I_s_l_a_n_d_.  An operation is expected in June in
       conjunction with the 50th anniversary of amateur radio in
       Colombia.

       _G_u_a_n_t_a_n_a_m_o_.  KG4DX and KG4AW are both very active around
       14210 kHz at 1100Z.  Also look for KG4AW on 21280 kHz at
       1700Z.

       _S_u_d_a_n_.  DF3NZ/ST2 is on near 3777 kHz at 0300Z.

       _S_r_i__L_a_n_k_a_.  Look for 4S7EA long path at 1100Z on 14200 kHz.

       _M_a_l_d_i_v_e_s_.  8Q7AV is also coming through long path near 14200
       kHz at 1100Z.

       _C_h_i_n_a_.  Tom, VE7BC, reports that a new Chinese station is
       all ready to go as soon as coax is installed.

       _M_a_r_i_o_n__I_s_l_a_n_d_.  The crew for the coming year is leaving
       today and there are no hams included, so ZS2MI will be
       inactive for at least a year.

       _S_t_.__M_a_r_t_i_n_.  K1MEM/PJ7 has been operating from the PJ7UQ
       QTH.

       _S_a_n__M_a_r_i_n_o_.  The headquarters station of ARRSM will operate
       as T70/A from 1300Z April 20 to 1300Z April 21.  QSL to
       ARRSM, P. O. Box 1, San Marino 47031.

       _S_p_r_a_t_l_y__I_s_l_a_n_d_s_.  It has been reported from Hong Kong that
       DJ6SI and DF6FK, along with the skipper and one other crew
       member, were rescued at sea by a Panamanian ship, the
       Linden.  The four were discovered in a lifeboat,
       approximately 100 miles west of the Spratly Islands.  They
       are expected to arrive in Hong Kong Friday or Saturday.
       Tragically, the two other amateurs on the DXpedition, DJ3NG
       and DJ4EI, have died, one in the initial attack and the
       other at sea a few days later.  Actual details of the attack
       are still not known at this time.

       _D_e_s_e_c_h_e_o__I_s_l_a_n_d_.  The FCC has changed the prefix of Desecheo
       Island from KP4 to KP5.

       _T_u_r_k_e_y_.  ARRL Headquarters has received word from the
       Turkish Amateur Radio Club that the government has passed
       legislation officially recognizing amateur radio once again.
       The process will take about six months, at which time
       amateur radio will be legal by government standards.

       _B_r_u_n_e_i_.  VS5MS can be found on 14210 kHz at 1430Z.

       _G_a_b_o_n_.  TR8JD operates around 21300 kHz at 2130Z.  QSLs are
       being handled by F6AJA.

       _S_t_.__M_a_r_t_i_n_.  K6GXO/PJ7 is active on 21290 kHz at 2100Z.
       QSLs go to his home QTH.

       _W_e_s_t__M_a_l_a_y_s_i_a_.  Look for 9M2SQ on Sunday mornings at 1030Z
       around 14210 kHz.

       _A_f_r_i_c_a_/_S_o_u_t_h__A_t_l_a_n_t_i_c_.  An informal group meets on 21335 kHz
       between 1700 and 2000Z.  ZD9, ZD8, ZD7, TJ, TQ, TU, and 7Q7
       stations are available regularly.

       _U_z_b_e_k_.  An extremely active station is UI8OAA, whose QSL
       manager is I8YGZ.

       _S_t_.__V_i_n_c_e_n_t_.  J88AQ may be found on Saturdays on 21300 kHz
       around 1700Z.
