Anyone advocating such a point of view would probably have to be an anarchist-type libertarian in order to avoid being self-contradictory. Secondly, the Constitution was drawn up more or less under orders from the Continental Congress and was definitely **not** an act of treason. The major document which has such a claim to fame would be the Declaration of Independence. Careful thought and some ransacking of memory reminds me that the Constitutional Convention was convened with the authority to revise the Articles of Confederation, not to write an entirely new document. While I wouldn't characterize the end product as treason, there's no doubt that the Convention exceeded its original charter. Bob Warren cbosgd!nscs!rew
