[net.ham-radio] ad7i's Z-AMTOR firmware available

ad7i@houxp.UUCP (06/06/83)

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Preliminary documentation and firmware are available for a stand-alone
Z80 AMTOR system. The "Z-AMTOR" system operates with a home-brew
(no PC yet available) 4 MHz Z80 system and works with Baudot terminals
at 45, 50, and 74 bps as well as ASCII terminals at 110 and 300 bps.
This system runs modes A, B, S (selective B) and L (monitor mode A
communicaitons). It is, if I say so myself, one of the best
implementations of AMTOR available. It has been in the programming
stage for over a year.

Anyone SERIOUSLY interested in building such a system is invited to
send a $0.71, 9" x 12" SASE and a 250 nS 2764 EPROM to:

                Paul Newland, ad7i
                POB 205
                Holmdel, NJ 07733

I will forward a copy of the documentation and program your EPROM.
Be sure the stamps are glued onto the envelope. Don't send
money, I'll just pocket it and claim I never got your letter!
NOTE: don't send an SASE without an EPROM. If you do, I'll return
your envelope without stuffing it. If you don't send an EPROM you
probably are not serious about building a system. I am looking for
people to help me test the code, not increase my xeroxing costs!

If you are not totally passionate about AMTOR but would like to get
the documentation, way till later this year; it will appear in one
of the major ham mags.
