Sorry to have to post this to the net, but the local copy of /bin/mail gets very upset over rvpalliende's long user name (no -- I sont know why, or whether its a general problem) To: pyuxbb!npoiv!harpo!decvax!utzoo!watmath!rvpalliende For sites that have auto dialers, it probably is impossible to cancel a message before it gets onto the net. The problem is that inews immediately fires up a uux, rather than waiting an hour or so. So by the time you have noticed your mistake, the broken copy is already on its way, and your cancelation must forever play catchup! Somebody a while back described a mechanism to 'batch' news transmissions. If such a thing were universally used, your problem might not appear.
