This is a message to announce the availability of a comprehensive bibliography on SGML. The report, entitled "Bibliography on SGML(Standard Generalized Markup Language), Technical Report 91-299", contains over 1400 references to articles and books on SGML and related issues. "In view of the widespread and growing use of the Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML), it was thought that a comprehensive bibliography on SGML would supply a valuable contribution for researchers tracing the progress of SGML applications. At the same time, the bibliography will serve as a reading list and information resource for groups wishing to evaluate SGML for their information management needs. The following document constitutes a full printout of bibliographic information on SGML and related issues collected since mid-1986. It also provides a directory of some SGML-supporting groups in academia, government and industry. " - from the "Overview of the Document" There are also two appendices that provide subsets of the ISO 8879-1996 public entity lists and listings of language codes for possible use in SGML applications(ISO 639 and MARC language codes). The report is roughly 320 pages in length and there is a charge of $21.00 (Canadian) to cover costs.
