Can a document written in a declarative block-structured markup language (such as say LaTeX) be easily converted into SGML? What about the reverse process. Which direction is the most difficult? I am currently defining a declarative block-structured markup language for a hypertext system and would like to be able to convert documents to and from SGML. Is the proposed HyTime International Standard described in detail anywhere?
