[comp.unix.programmer] Unix V.4 - Portable Device Drivers? Request For Info

paulb@mlacus.oz (Paul Bandler) (09/12/90)

Can anyone please provide information on Unix V.4? I'd like to know:-

Is it available to end users yet? If so, who is shipping versions?

I've heard that V.4 includes something to aid the portability of device drivers
called DDI and DKI. What are these and where can I get details?

Please email any response as news travels slowly back down under. I'll
post a summary if there is interest.

Thanks in anticipation,

Regards,

Paul Bandler
