There are patches for top 2.5 that allow it to run under Ultrix 3.x or
Ultrix 4.0. They can be copied via anonymous FTP from wuarchive.wustl.edu,
and are in the directory /packages/top-2.5

The latest one on gatekeeper.dec.com works (also on decuac.dec.com in
public/sources/top.tar.Z).

This version of top on gatekeeper.dec.com:/pub/DEC/top.tar.Z:
-r--r--r-- 1 root 47197 Aug 27 10:56 top.tar.Z
compiles just fine for me under 4.0.

If you picked up the file before August 28th, try again.

We've got a version of top we re-hacked to deal with multi-processor
(SMP) boxes - it senses the number of processors active and adjusts itself
accordingly...

It's running on RISC-Ultrix 4.0 - any takers, contact by mail:-
