[comp.unix.programmer] Curses doesn't seem to work on my system

gaines@mars.njit.edu (Starman) (02/18/91)

Howdy,
I took an example straight out of a curses manual dated the same
time our .h files were written. Strings written to windows don't work
unless they're in quotes, and overlays pop up next to the window it has
to overlay. I'm using Ultrix-32 V3.1 (Rev. 9). Any help?

If you are using the MIPS version of Ultrix, version 4.0 fixed some
problems with curses including getting keymap() to work.
