According to information printed in the July/August issue of
"Monitoring Times" (vol 2, no. 4, published by Grove
Enterprises, Brasstown, NC 28902), Electra Company
demonstrated the following new scanners at the summer
Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Chicago:

174, 406-512 mHz. Features: vacuum fluorescent

mHz.)

with all metal cabinet and mounting bracket. 3 watts
audio output! Features: Memory backup, vacuum
fluorescent display with dim switch, electro-
luminescent keyboard backlighting, audible "chirp"
keyboard feedback, priority, weather key (nice!),
search, lockout. Cost: $400. (Low profile cabinet with
front mounted controls ... a new breed from Bearcat.)
o+ PORTABLE - handheld BC-5/6 crystal controlled 6 channel
unit. Features: low, high, aircraft, and UHF bands,
300 mw. audio output, individual LED channel
