amsat oscar 10 mode b transponder will be turned on for the first
time at 1800 utc on saturday, august 6.  for the first two hours
north american stations will not have access.  west coast stations
will acquire the satellite first and the acquisition line will
gradually move eastward.  on the east coast the satellite should be
available a little before 0000 utc on sunday, august 7, and should
stay in range for eight to nine hours.	listen for the general beacon
at 145.810 mhz.  the center of the downlink passband is 145.903 mhz
and the center of the uplink passband is 435.100 mhz.  to track oscar
10 listen for its signals, peak the signal strength by mmving your
antennas first in azimuth, then in elevation, and adjust periodically
to repeak the signals.	the mode l transponder has not yet been
