[comp.unix.shell] S in Bourne shell

gahooten@orion.arc.nasa.gov (Gregory A. Hooten) (09/14/90)

I have /bin/sh set up in my passwd file as the default login
shell. When I log in, if I do

echo $-

I get one variable showing which is "s". What is "s"?
If I go to a sub shell, the S no longer exists.
