One of the largest VLF/LF clubs in the United States is the
Longwave Club of America. This club publishes a monthly
newsletter, "The Lowdown", in which Ken Cornell, W2IMB,
writes a column devoted to 1750 meter operation. The column
contains equipment schematics and antenna information for
this experimenters' band, as well as information on beacons
and activity there.
Ken Stryker, of Chicago, writes the "Lost and Found
Department" column, identifying various VLF beacons (air and
marine) for members.
The club address is:
Longwave Club of America
45 Wildflower
Levittown, PA 19057
Membership dues are $10 a year, which include First Class
mailing of the newsletter. The newsletter is good ... no
hype or commercial advertisements. Looks like a decent club
for those interested in operation at low frequencies.
