last month doc rejected a crrl request for permanent special prefixes
for sable and saint paul islands.  however, two special permanent
callsigns, cy9sab for sable island and cy0spi for saint paul island,
will be available to any amateurs conducting dxpeditions to these
islands.

ve6abc, of edmonton, alberta, is crrl amateur of the year.

doc will conduct amateur examinations across canada on october 19.
these will be the last exams based on the old trc84  ar
