Hi,
after having upgraded from 2.02 to 2.2 I have observed some strange things,
I want to share:
-Telnet to ISC 2.2 from NCSA/Telnet 2.2TN no longer works,
after the "trying to open connection" message nothing else
happens, no login: prompt appears.
-Telnet from an NCD-17c X-Terminal does not work (no login:
prompt appears)
-C-Kermit (dial out to COM2:/dev/tty01 to a PDP-11/73) at 19200 Baud,
which worked
great at 2.02, fails when transferring files at random intervals
- X11 Rel. 1.1: After some hours of inactivity (4 xterms, xclock, xload,
xcalc)
the system dumps core, when moving the mouse to switch on the screen.
- sendmail/sendmail.cf: after activating the domain name service resolver
(/etc/resolv.conf), from: addresses are wrong (domain name tacked on
twice)
- resolver: system complains about "host not in hosts database"
but host is:
/etc/hosts: (part of with line numbers)

Replace telnetd with the 2.02 version and everything should work. Cheers!greg
