I am providing consultation to a firm that has a 386 box running SCO UNIX. Their previous consultant left in a hurry, with all his notes. They are having problems with configuring printers, and I cannot figure the mess out. The previous person purposefully obscured things to insure his job. Is there a way to find out the current configuration for the existing printers? Also, the file /dev/lp2 got hosed by a mis-typed command in a root shell. Where would I find the major and minor device numbers to feed mknod to re-create this? Again, the manuals were not as helpful as I would have hoped. Some serious re-configuration needs be done, but I am not in my element, being a BSD4.3 kinda guy. If you can offer some advice, please e-mail, as I do not normally read this group. Thank you.
