qst de ad7i hr arrl bulletin nr 140 from arrl headquarters newington ct december 20, 1983 to all radio amateurs bt the present series of amateur extra prefixes in alaska, kl7a thru kl7z, wl7a thru wl7z and nl7a thru nl7z, has been used up. the fcc will begin a new series, kl8a thru kl8z, wl8a thru wl8z and nl8a thru nl8z, at almost any moment. before long a similar situation will arise in the pacific. fcc will keep the calls kh7k, wh7k and nh7k for potential extra class licensees on kure, with the rest of the 7 block available for amateur extras in hawaii. the status of al8 and ah7 is not known at this time ar
