[net.ham-radio] info wanted about sw receivers

I am looking for information that will enable me to
make an intelligent decision about purchasing a
sw radio receiver.  It must be able to pick up all the
major news services, have an am section good enough
to pull in many of the east coast baseball games and an
fm section.  Any help with brand names or availability of
printed information would be great.  Thanks for the help.
