I would like to know how to do this. Has anyone out there done it? I have GCC. Do I use GCC/GAS w/o the OMF patches? What about linking? Gnu Link? Where can I get the latest copy. Does need patched? Also, I'd like any info on where to get legal std lib source. I'm interested in putting together a __FREE__ development system, and would like to make it COFF so that it can be used on other i386 ix's. Also, could someone explain a.out vs. x.out vs. COFF? J

PGD ? As soon as I have a set of files to build shared libraries for X-windows, I will make it available.
