I need to figure out if it is possible to print remotely from a XENIX system. Specifically, the host XENIX box runs a business application (custom software - I can't hack), and the owner of the business wants to be able to run the report generator of this application from home and have the result print on his HOME printer. We have set him up with a 386 PC at home and have partitioned the hard drive for both DOS and XENIX. What do I need to do to allow him to print? I know how to set up UUCP, and I also have DOS software that will allow him to terminal emulate. Which technique will work for me to allow him to print directly from the application? Do I even need to have him run XENIX at home? (Can it be done with DOS and emulation?). If I must run XENIX, what do I need to do to get printer output to redirect to his home PC? -- Al Borup - Programmer/Analyst | Boise Interagency Fire Center | 3905 Vista Avenue | {...}!uunet!mkcgad1!drot-a!master Boise, ID 83705 | (208) 389-2480
