[comp.unix.xenix.sco] Colorado 120 MB Jumbo Tape Drive

shawn@willow.MV.COM (Shawn M. Rogers) (02/05/91)

Hi,

Just a quick question for anybody that has a Colorado Jumbo 120 MB Tape
drive:

Is there anything I should know regarding installation/use?

I just received one, and want to make sure there are no problems.
Also, does anybody have a driver for it? The company that sold it to me
said they would get the driver, but it would be some time before they did.
I'd like to use the drive to backup my system sometime before the end of
1991!

Thanks in advance for your help.

Just choose the QIC-40 driver. You'll be able to use 40MB cartridges with
dump, tar, cpio etc. Try to get the original driver by Colorado. It
provides internal error correction and data compression. Highly recommended.
(Using this driver and 60MB tapes you will get <= 1200 MB on ONE tape).

You are welcome :-)
