[comp.unix.xenix.sco] SCO ld internal error: fatal: aux table overflow

Has anyone gotten this error when linking a lot of large object
files: 

		ld internal error:  fatal: aux table overflow

if you have and know a fix or workaround, please let me know.
BTW, swconfig is:
	Set                              Release   Notes
	---                              -------   -----
	Open Desktop Server              1.0.0f    partially installed
	PC-Interface                     3.0.0     installed
	Open Desktop Update F            1.0.0i    partially installed
	Open Desktop                     1.1.1b    partially installed
 	(prd = unixos)                   3.2.2t    partially installed
