WRITE(6) 2 blocks to 012be8 failed on the second block because of:
        03 - unrecoverable media error
10 00 - ID CRC OR ECC ERROR

Any decent OS should have been able to recover from such an error,
and it looks like 2.3.2 did just that. Just in case, I would suggest
calling their customer service and asking them how their OS handles
    badspots on a disk.

Item 1 > cmd : 0A 01 2B E8 02 00
meaning: Write 2 blocks, starting at block $12BE8 = 76776

During the write an unrecoverable error occured.

	sense:	F0 00 03 00 01 1B E9 0A 00 00 00 00 10 00
meaning: There is a media error at block $12BE9 = 76777, the
10 means < ID CRC or ECC error. >

Item 2 > To fix this, reformat the disk or replace the bad block.

Item 3 > Any book that describes the SCSI command's should help.

Cheers,

Sense byte 2 - error 3 hex - this is a media error

If it is always at the same cylinder and head, it is a bad block.

Get a SCSI manual for your hard drive, and use it to figure out the sense
bytes.
