[comp.unix.xenix.sco] Packet size in SCO TCP/IP

meyer@mimsy.umd.edu (John R. Meyer) (03/18/91)

Hello --

I would like to know how SCO TCP/IP handles the splitting up
of data into Internet and ethernet packets. Is there some way to
control the packet size? We are trying to use a terminal server to
interface to some equipment with an RS-232C interface and would like
to know how many packets will be sent given the length of data we
wish to transmit.

We are using a 386 clone with a Fibercom LAN card and SCO
XENIX-386 2.3.2.

					Thanks,

						John
