[comp.unix.xenix.sco] Print screen from SCO Xenix console????

dls@genco.bungi.com (Dave L. Smith) (03/17/91)

Anyone out there know of a way to print the contents of the
console screen from SCO Xenix? I think this is possible,
but don't know how.

Thanks.

I don't know how to dump a multiscreen, but if you use a windowing
system, like MultiView or X (I use both), you can use cut&paste
features to dump a window.

PS: I just remembered something. Isn't there a control sequence that
returns multiscreen contents to a calling process? Check the
screen(HW) online manual entry.

Yes, like all ansi (not dos-ansi) compatible terminal it is "\033[2i".
Some year later i made a small program to pipe the content of the
screen to stdout (to be catch by lp, for example) and was very simple.
