System: 386/25 running SCO Unix 3.2 no external communications (ie. mail is all on this machine) Problem: mmdf keeps reporting the following message in /usr/mmdf/log/chan.log mm/dd hh:mm:ss local nnnn nonexistant dom/host (ap_normalize): 'armco.com' mm/dd hh:mm:ss local nnnn sender = '{user id}' mm/dd hh:mm:ss local nnnn wmsg 1a nnnc (where nnnn and nnn are replaced with some type of sequence number) I have been through the system up and down, inside out and at least think I have everything setup as instructed in the System Administrators Reference Manual and System Administrators Reference Guide, but continue to get this message in the log. All mail IS being delivered, properly addressed in the To:, From: and ID: fields. 'hostname' returns meltdbf.armco.com as it should, the mmdftailor file has all the MLxxxx fields defined correctly, /usr/mmdf/table/local.dom is defined, dbmbuild has been run (several times!). EVERY message generated within the system causes this message to get logged. My forehead is getting awfull raw from banging it against this brick wall :-}, can someone tell me what the *&%$^ I've missed? Please email responses as I don't read this newsgroup regularly. I will post the resolution. Many thanks in advance! Art | R.
