I am planning to install SCO Unix on a machine with the following configuration: Gateway 2000 386/25Mhz machine Unicom system board American Megatrend (AMI) ROM 8 Megabytes RAM Ultrastor 32K disk controller (ESDI interface) CDC 150 drive I plan to install the multiuser operating system, the developers system, and the VPIX dos overlay in conjunction with a multiport board (brand yet undertermined - any suggestions?) so that about 4 users can use the system simultaneously with the use of AT&T 4425 terminal. I was wondering if anyone has any warnings, suggestions, etc. about SCO Unix running on this configuration. Also, can anyone recommend a graphics application similar to Ventura that will work well with SCO Unix? And finally, SCO tells me that virtually every reseller sells SCO Unix right at the list price. Is this true? Or, is there a good place to go for a deal? Any help would be very much appreciated. --Glenn Leavell glenn@rigel.econ.uga.edu
