I've got a single bad block on my Xenix 2.3.3 system (CDC 609 meg HD, Adaptec 1542b controller), which gives the following message during 'fsck.' scsi: ERROR: on disk dev=1/40 ha=0 id=0 lun=0 block=740476 hst 00 ust 02 AHA-1540 cmd : 08 0B 4C 7C 02 00 AHA-1540 sense : F0 00 03 00 0B 4C 7D 0A 00 00 00 : 00 12 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 Hard Media Error CDB opcode=0 CMD length=6 I've tried 'badtrk' (yes, in single user mode), but it won't take it out. Everthing else checks good with 'fsck,' but the above persistant error. Could someone tell me how to fix it, please?
