On the idea of aliasing incorrect newsgroups to correct: If the redirection didn't get done at the original site, then it would get done at all later sites, resulting in huge numbers of the article being posted. Tim Maroney unc!tim

Then either it's not working or not all notesfile sites have that alias, because I have seen net.joke entries from notesfile users. Also, you should not alias something to net.news.newsi or net.game.rogu; USE THE FULL NAME! While newsgroup names are only unique up to 14 characters, they are NOT restricted to that limit.
