Can anybody explain why when I use VP/IX from the console on SCO UNIX 3.2.2 and I switch screens (via alt F2 say) while VP/IX is still coming up, it will occansionally lock out all of my multi screens (F1-F12) except for the one it is on and I must reboot to get everything back??? Why? I call it a bug. I think I remember SCO kinda documenting it and saying "don't do that". You don't have to reboot though. What I do (it sure is tempting to switch to another screen while waiting isn't it?) is log on via a serial port and kill vpix with 'kill -1 PS_ID' where PS_ID is obtained with 'ps -ae'. -- joe@proto.com

Just don't count on this working with Xenix 2.3, cause it don't. I ended up writing a shell script that reminds me not to multiscreen out while VPIX is loading, and I always invoke VP/ix using that script.
